1974-03-?? London – Leytonstone(UK) Red Lion (was this show planned and/or did it happen?) I certainly saw Magma at about this time upstairs in a pub , The Red Lion, Leytonstone where they played in front of a very sparse audience probably less than 30 people one who had travelled from Bristol who I spoke to. I do not have this date in my diary for 1974 although I do have Feb. 24, Mar. 2,10 & 17th, June 6, 9, 19 & 21st as I attended all these

1974-03-10 Guildford (UK) Civic Hall (+Chick Corea + Isotope + Kokomo)
1974-06-10 Guildford (UK) Civic Hall (+ Chick Corea, Isotope, Kokomo)
I am certain that only one concert took place Sunday 10.March 1974 which I think was some sort of Benefit for Oz Magazine Chick Corea’s Return to Forever with Bill Connors on guitar and the first time I saw the very funky Kokomo, and Isotope, Magma were amazing as they always are , the venue was about 1/3 full and not very well advertised but overall the best concert I have ever been to.

Wonder if anyone has the setlist for Cambridge corn exchange 22/6/1974 as I was there. I would love to know. Can only remember Kohntarkosz

I was at the Cambridge June 1974 gig. Khontarkosz had just been released so they played that and all of MDK. I remember the line up was with Jannick Top, Klaus Blasquiz, Gerard Bikialo and Michel Graillier; Stella and Christian. I recall being disappointed initially that there was no guitar, but it was a magical gig. They arrived late, had no stage but played on the floor, with soft pink and green lights. Probably the best gig of my life!

There was a weekly live gig every Saturday in the winter months and Magma did appear. I now run a UK live 1970′s label called MLP. http://www.MLPLIVE,com
