The last issue of Ork Alarm! was produced in August 1995. Since then, we have been treated to an abundance of great Zeuhl music. The AKT label has continued to unearth some fine material, Les Voix De Magma have transformed into the lastest incarnation of Magma and have been astounding new audiences around the globe with old classics and new works. Univers Zero, Art Zoyd and Present have recently had new product critically acclaimed and of course we were blessed at Le Trianon with the 30 year anniversary concerts by Magma, resulting not only in the Theusz Hamtaahk trilogy CD but also a Video and DVD of the concerts no less! If that wasn't enough the reissue machine has been cranked up a few notches as more and more previously deleted material finds its way onto CD. In many ways, this truly is a golden period for the genre.
Since 1995 there have been a number of new "Zeuhl" Artists appearing on the scene. It is the aim of this website to present an up to date and comprehensive overview of the "Zeuhl" genre, not only as a reference work, but also as a tribute to the bands that have given "Zeuhl" music fans so much pleasure over the years. The spirit of Ork Alarm! was very much, "share the information for the good of the music". So, should you be able to help Ork Alarm! in any way please don't hesitate to get in touch. Whether it be Photos, Newapaper cuttings, Programmes, Posters, Tickets, Reviews, Articles, Discograpies, Scans of rare records and Art Work, Information on relevent websites, Concert news & reviews, Additions or Corrections, they will be greatly appreciated.
Currently, in particular need of updating, and / or correcting are the "Magma on Tour" pages, which are not as yet "written in stone" from 1997 onwards. The Zundography in issue 11 and the UZMK band members in issue 7. Obviously many of the "Zeuhl" artists have recorded new product so it would also be good to publish up to date Discographies and Band Member histories on all the groups and solo artists mentioned in Ork Alarm!
