THE MATHEMATICS OF THE ZEUHL SIGN

1. Choose the overall radius of the design (R3).
2. Using graph paper, draw a feint circle of radius R3.
3. Draw three more circles using the same centre point:
    Radius R1 = 1/3 x R3
    Radius R2 = 2 x R1
    Radius R4 = 1/4 x R1
4. Draw lines L1 and L2 at 45° through the centre.
5. Measure distance M1.
6. Draw radius R5 (R5 = 1/2 x M1).

Voilà! if you followed that, you should have drawn a reasonable Zeuhl sign.
